When the Ball Stops: A Blazers vs Sixers Post Game Review

-If you looked close enough on Saturday night, you noticed that the Portland team had a supply of organic trail mix behind each player's personal container box.

-Philadelphia tried to stay in the conversation, but Gerald Wallace was just too sharp. His 8 assists were 8 examples of passing skill, his 23 points more like a timeless-gold effort stocked with efficiency, for it was a considerate 12 shot attempts put upward that Gerry stroked. When a defensive ace like Wallace shoots the ball 12 times, and connects on 8 of those attempts, it's what those at the Cable Ace Awards call "with it."

-76er team captain, Andre Iguodala, was absent from the game. He was resting a slight knee injury also known as tendinitis. A healthy Iguodala results in a different final score, but as it was said in Gump, "Shit Happens," and so it exists without excuse in this regular season match.

-TD3Q's core contributors believe in Philly pro basketball in Spring 2011. They aren't good enough to upset a first round opponent in real life, but what about a mythical playoff series against this very same Portland Trailblazer team? Make it best of 9. Iguodala should be back by then. Winner gets to snatch a player from the opposition. Imagine Jrue Holiday taking over for Andre "Snake Shot" Miller. Or what if old Philly could harpoon Lamarcus Aldridge to launch the 76ers into a top 4 Eastern Conference powerhouse? It's a winner-take-one hypothetical, and it's glowing red, only at TD3Q.
